IDE-UDVIKLINGSPROCES

Fremtidige perspektiver for ngo-samarbejde

Civilsamfundsstrategi

Oxfam Novib, KIT: What actually happens to organisations during gender and organisational change endeavours? This book presents seven field experiences of managing the politically sensitive agenda of promoting gender equality in NGOs, and negotiating the contradictions between using Organisational Development tools and promoting gender equality. It shows how organisational change for gender equality is an integral part of gender mainstreaming processes, and how the seven organisations in question, unable to separate entirely the internal change process from their external work as NGOs, experienced a spillover of gender justice concerns into their work in the field, with a variety of programme results. The Global Gender Gap Report 2007

World Economic Forum: The World Economic Forum has published its 2007 Global Gender Gap report. The report covers 128 countries and includes detailed profiles that provide insight into the economic, legal and social aspects of the gender gap in each country. The report measures the size of the gender gap in four critical areas of inequality between men and women: 1) economic participation and opportunity, 2) educational attainment, 3) political empowerment, and 4) health and survival. Gender Equality and Aid Effectiveness Discussion Papers

UNIFEM: These discussion papers draw on multi-stakeholder consultations on gender equality and aid effectiveness led by UNIFEM since November 2005. The consultations have brought together representatives from government, donor agencies and civil society to explore strategies to ensure that aid effectively delivers for gender equality in the context of nationally determined development planning and programming processes.
