Fyraftensmøde om Resolution 1325

Deltag i Kønsnets fyraftensmøde om Resolution 1325 og hør mere om status for arbejde med kvinder i konflikt områder. Mette Strandlod fra UNFPA Nordic vil fortælle om Resolution 1325 og den rapport UNFPA har udgivet i anledningen af 10året for Resolution 1325. Line Gamrath Rasmussen fra CARE Danmark vil fortælle om CAREs rapport vedrørende resolution 1325 og arbejdet indenfor disse rammer, med fokus på det lokale arbejde med kvinder i Nepal.

Ligestillingsadvocacy fra nord til syd

Kønsnet præsenterer et fyraftensmøde om advocacy, ligestilling og governance. Med udgangspunkt i den danske kvindebevægelses erfaringer med at skabe opmærksomhed omkring kvinders rettigheder, sættes fokus på effektiv og inkluderende ligestillingsadvocacy. Spørgsmålet er hvordan NGOer i Nord kan styrke sociale bevægelser og marginaliserede befolkningsgrupper i Syd i arbejdet med advocacy og ligestilling. Med udgangspunkt i konkrete eksempler fra Syd og fra den danske kvindebevægelse kommer vi blandt ind på muligheder, succeshistorier og faldgruber i arbejdet med køn og advocacy. Indlæg fra Jytte Larsen (KVINFO) og Anders Lundt Hansen (MS Action Aid), samt case præsentationer fra KULU og MS.

Input til handlingsplan for Danmarks ligestillingsstrategi

I starten af januar afholdt Udenrigsministeriet et åbent møde om handlingsplanen for ligestilling i den danske udviklingspolitiske strategi 2011. Kønsnet har siden fulgt op med et skriftligt input, ud fra et ønske om at bidrage til udformningen af handlingsplanen. Kønsnet finder det meget positivt at ligestilling er en særskilt prioritet i den danske udviklingspolitik, men savner flere konkrete bud på, hvordan de pæne hensigtserklæringer skal implementeres i praksis. Kønsnet foreslår, at der udarbejdes en 5årig rulleplan for at sikre en langsigtet implementering af ligestillingsstrategien, samt at køn og ligestilling i langt højere grad mainstreames i hele den nye udviklingspolitik. Køreplanen har fortsat et meget stærkt fokus på kvinder, og Kønsnet opfodrer til, at ligestillingsproblemer anskues mere bredt, samt at ulige magtrelationer mellem mænd og kvinder i højere grad adresseres.
